One reader asked, “Can you give me a brief description of the responsibilities of being an editor?”
This is generally a great question. However, the amount of responsibilities as an editor for Reasons to Be Beautiful may come as a surprise for those who are not entirely familiar with the hard work of editing, organizing, and social networking within the various aspects of the internet. We are looking for editors who are dedicated, persistent, and willing to work above and beyond to help writers and organize the magazine itself.
As a team, we specialize in working together to find new, innovative ways to connect with our readers. Each editor will find their own writers either through advertising on their own section tumblr, through intern sites, or by word of mouth. Each editor screens writers on their ability and ideas.
Editors give stories to writers monthly. Editors will also give feedback on each article submitted by writers, along with a full calendar of their work.
Editors will also be choosing articles, people to interview, innovative ideas, etc, to bring to their writer’s. Each editor is expected to give an eloquent job when editing — meaning, they know the in’s and out’s of grammar and are paticularly familiar with journalism.
Each editor must respond to e-mails, hold various twitter, tumblr, and e-mail accounts, along with responding positively to the staff as a whole. Each editor is expected to work 6 to 5 hours a week on their editor duties, respond to e-mails within 2 days, and construct calendars and gaining information.

Reasons to Be Beautiful.com is an online internship only. Our internship lasts a minimum of three months and consists of our interns submitting an article once a week along with working on their own personal social networking and contacts. Each writer will work with a specific editor to diligently work on the writing process, brainstorm ideas, and co-operate with the entire staff. Writers who are under18 will only be submitted as contributors to our website.This internship is great for those interested in pursuing the art of journalism.
There are five sections to chose from: Fashion, Beauty, Culture, Dating & Relationships, and Lifestyle.
This is an unpaid internship, and RTBB does not make any profit.
